Preschool Teacher's Aide

Bethel Lutheran Preschool is a mission devoted to declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to His littlest ones and their families. We are dedicated to providing an excellent faith based education and we are seeking individuals who have a love for the Lord and want to help children grow in God's love. We serve children ages 2 to 5 years old. Morning and afternoon shifts available.

Qualifications:
-Must be at least 18 years old
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Must be able to complete and pass required state background check

Preferred Qualifications:
-College credit hours in Early Childhood Education
-CPR/First Aid Certifications, Food Handlers License
-Experience working in a licensed childcare center

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This childcare worker will assist in supervising, guiding, and managing classrooms in our Preschool program .

Specific job duties include:

• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Follow and comply with all Minimum Standards and requirements set by the State.
• Interact with, initiate, and encourage children in daily activities.
• Demonstrate competency, good judgment, and self-control in the presence of children and when performing assigned responsibilities
• Help the children grow more independent and self-disciplined using a Christ-centered, positive, and consistent approach.
• Prioritize the safety and well being of the children.
• Insure a clean, safe, and attractive learning environment
• Implement/assist with implementing learning activities.
• Follow proper diapering procedures and/or assist children toilet training as needed
• Perform other duties as necessary or as assigned by the Director.

Machines or equipment used in the performance of essential duties:
Tablets, Copier/Printer, Computer, Laminator

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Work Location: In person
