Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for a 6 hour per day Office Coordinator II for the Nutrition Services Department. This position works a 226 day calendar.

Nature of Work
The Office Coordinator II provides specialized administrative and operational support for the Bethel School District's School Nutrition Programs. Reporting to the School Nutrition Director, this position handles a variety of tasks, including responding to public inquiries, preparing Excel workbooks, coordinating food service operations, and supporting communication and marketing efforts for the school meal programs. Additionally, the Office Coordinator II may assist with basic food operations at individual meal sites as needed. Other duties may be assigned.
This role combines administrative support with general office duties, varying throughout the school year. The Office Coordinator II interacts with students, parents, and the public in person, via email, and by telephone. A pleasant and helpful attitude is essential when dealing with the public.
Examples of Work

- Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Nutrition Services, assisting in program coordination and organization.
- Maintain the meal calendar and create, copy, and distribute announcements and newsletters (using Canva, Word, etc).
- Make updates to the district marketing materials using a template, and upload files to a district site.
- Assist with department events, including logistics and communication.
- Maintain or enhance order tracking workbooks and create financial summaries from the data.
- Create Excel workbooks for monitoring and tracking participation counts for the program across meal sites.
- Greet and screen walk-in and telephone callers; respond to student and parent inquiries, direct them to the appropriate person, and take messages.
- Assignments may also be given by an existing Office Coordinator.
Selection Factors
- Knowledge of English language, including spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva.
- Organize and maintain files in Google Drive
- Ability to create workbooks and manage large data sets, including financials, in Excel workbooks.
- Detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to meet program needs accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to learn and follow office policies and procedures for assigned tasks.
- Ability to maintain an appropriate and legal level of confidentiality regarding students, staff, and other individuals.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, administrators, parents, and co-workers.
- Ability to deal with the public in a pleasant, tactful, and courteous manner.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and prompt attendance.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, nutrition, or a related field.
- Preferred: Experience in school nutrition program operations or office support.
- Two years of general office or business work experience, including using MS Office Suite and dealing with the public.
- Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training that ensures the ability to perform the work may be substituted for the required experience.
