Adjunct Instructor of Art - Graphic Design
Description
The Department of Art is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Adjunct Instructor of Graphic Design to teach courses across all levels of our graphic design curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating students in both foundational and advanced aspects of graphic design, preparing them for careers in the design industry. This role requires a commitment to fostering creativity, technical skill development, and critical thinking in a Christ-centered learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach graphic design courses at various levels, from introductory design principles to advanced design methods and practices.
- Instruct the use of industry-standard software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum materials that cover topics such as typography, branding, layout, digital media, and interactive design.
- Facilitate learning of principles of art and design.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentorship of students.
- Collaborate with department faculty to enhance curriculum and student learning experiences.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to foster their growth and development as creative professionals.
- Engage in professional development activities related to the professional field.
- Participate in departmental meetings and other activities as needed.
