Job Summary
Supports the office operations for Safety & Security and is the face of the department by providing front-line representation of the security office.
Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary front-line customer service for the Safety and Security office, handling customer complaints and inquiries regarding parking, permits, citations, identification card distribution and programming, Shuttle Services, and Lost and Found.
- Hires, trains, schedules, reviews and evaluates work for departmental student employee positions, including security dispatchers and shuttle drivers.
- Coordinates University Shuttle Service operations, regulatory compliance, and university driver certification.
- Distributes University ID cards, processing access requests for students, employees, and Anderson Center Tenants and assigning appropriate role-based access permissions to support University operations. Supports ID printing during new student welcome events which may occur outside working hours, including Fall / Winter Welcome Week.
- Processes parking permit appeals and requests, distributes parking permits, manages and reviews citations issued by Security Officers, and verifies charges to student accounts.
- Receives, records, and directs emergencies and calls for service as a university dispatcher. Reviews and ensures quality and completeness of dispatch records.
- Support major campus events, such as Welcome Week, Homecoming, Festival of Christmas, or Commencement.
- Other duties as assigned.
