Job Summary
Bethel University seeks an adjunct faculty member to serve as a Visual Arts K-12 Student Teaching Supervisor in our Master of Arts in Teaching program. This position offers a unique opportunity to mentor and guide teacher candidates during their student teaching experiences, supporting their growth as effective visual arts teachers.
Responsibilities
- Observe, evaluate, and mentor visual arts teacher candidates during their student teaching placements, following Bethel's student teaching requirements.
- Provide constructive, actionable feedback on planning, teaching, assessment, classroom management, and other requirements of a pre-service teacher.
- Collaborate with K-12 schools and cooperating teachers to support teacher candidates' success.
- Attend program meetings and professional development sessions as required.
- Write personalized, professional letters of recommendation for assigned teacher candidates upon program completion.

Additional Information
Load will vary based on the needs of the department. This position pays $1,250 per load credit and compensation is based on student enrollment.
