What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at Bethesda Behavioral Health Services?
· Conduct regular appointments with clients who wish to converse with a mental health professional
· Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients
· Implement various evidence-based treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client situations
· Continually assess and diagnosis client situations and conditions to provide the proper ongoing treatments
· Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary
· Record and maintain adequate notes within 48 hours of the client visit/interaction in the electronic health record
· When required, refer clients to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs
· Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each and every client situation (i.e. comply with HIPAA regulations, and any other state and/or federal regulations related to privacy and confidentiality including limits to confidentiality)
· Maintain all required licenses and the appropriate liability insurance
· Assist the Practice with insurance enrollment and maintaining credentialing status with designated insurance companies
· Maintain a strengths-based perspective with assessing and treating clients
· Obtain continuing education related to practice for professional growth and maintenance of professional licensure
· Submitting insurance claims via the electronic health record
· Attend monthly general staff meetings
· Attend monthly clinical meetings
· Any other duties and assignments are required
Salary : $1,000 - $1,500
