Summary
Responsible for billing Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, & supplemental claims in a timely and accurate manner. Helps in generating all monthly statements and reports. Review statements for any billing inconsistencies. Involved in research for billing updates with Medicare and Medicaid. Work AOD aging report for follow-up with Medicare, Medicaid or any 3rd party payor. Pull reports and remittances from the fiscal intermediary. Respond and manage calls from residents and responsible parties regarding statements, billing and collections. Handle imports from outside vendors timely and accurately. Work with MDS at each facility to resolve and HIPPS discrepancies. Perform month-end processes for facilities by deadlines given by Controller. May be assigned other duties as appropriate.Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of four years SNF third party liability billing experience required
- Computer skills required
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of functions and relationships of departments within a nursing home environment preferred
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands for working with required equipment
- Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral communication, visual acuity
- Ability to read and understand written directions
Pay range: $21.79 - $35.95 per hour
