At BETHESDA GROUP, we're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Dining Experience Ambassadors. As a key member of our food service team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant and safe dining experience.
Job Summary:
We're looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team to serve residents meals, bus tables, and maintain cleanliness standards. If you have excellent communication skills, a patient attitude, and a genuine care for the elderly and disabled, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure dining areas are clean, safe, and comfortable for residents
- Serve residents meals and bus tables with a pleasant and patient demeanor
- Clean tables, chairs, floors, equipment, and dishes according to community policies and procedures
- Stock supplies as requested and maintain a professional appearance by wearing clean, pressed uniforms
- Maintain confidentiality of residents' personal information and protect their rights
- Assist residents to the dining room and ensure all residents have an opportunity for a meal
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements:
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with residents and staff
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be knowledgeable of the location of MSDS sheets on hazardous materials and able to understand guidelines
- Must have appropriate health certifications as required by local, state, and federal health departments
- Must be fluent in English to communicate effectively with staff and residents
- Demonstrates a SERVANT heart and attitude by following Bethesda Senior Living Communities' Mission Statement
Working Environment/Physical Requirements:
Light physical effort required to handle objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently. Must be able to bend, stoop, and handle bulky objects.
