Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensures communities are consistently executing standards that support BSLCs mission, core values, and increases ability to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
- Understands BSLCs sales process in order to ensure implementation and as a function of strategic marketing.
- Collaborates with Directors of Sales and Marketing to develop and implement company-wide strategies which generate new leads and advance existing leads.
- Supports communities in developing and executing a winning sales and marketing strategy that meets and exceeds budgeted occupancy and revenue.
- Provides and demonstrates sales leadership with all assigned communities.
- Coordinates community visits for stable communities to provide ongoing motivation, sales leadership development and training.
- Schedules weekly communication with communities that are census challenged.
- Keeps abreast of professional development in the marketing environment and of current and evolving state and federal regulations.
- Identifies key issues and provides training to marketers to continuously improve performance and occupancy.
- Provides face to face coaching with Directors of Sales and Marketing to improve census.
- Provides sales and leadership training and schedules weekly visits with new sales/marketing directors within their first 90 days.
- Effectively facilitates training on sales-related topics and on effective development of professional referral sources.
- Provides sales and leadership training and attends referral development meetings in each assigned community annually and more frequently as needed.
- Effectively uses the sales CRM for tracking sales and marketing activity, reporting, and coaching.
- Understands competitive opportunities and threats. Tracks and evaluates BSLCs product and pricing relevant to the competition annually.
- Visits key competitors with Directors of Sales and Marketing in the communities as needed.
- Partners with Executive Directors to assess talents, needs, and development opportunities for their communities.
- Interviews prospective Directors of Sales and Marketing for communities and makes recommendations to the Executive Directors.
- Processes and submits all monthly expenses and budget data timely per Bethesda policies.
- Continually looks for talent within the Bethesda employee pool to develop and train.
- Gathers and utilizes marketing and sales data for decision making and decision planning, including key sales metrics to establish and monitor sales targets.
- Fully comprehends and explains to marketing and sales directors the basic legal aspects of sales contracts/language and terms.
Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job: Responsible for communicating with Vice President of Sales and Marketing regarding census, marketing plans, tours, and sales. Includes programs which track inquiry to tour conversion and tour to resident placement conversion. Responsible for assisting sales teams with corporate-approved incentive driven goal oriented competitions while remaining in budget.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills to communicate with corporate leadership, Executive Directors, Directors of Sales and Marketing, residents, family members, referral sources, department leaders, and line staff.
- Knowledge of senior care market in each area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of communities services.
- Knowledge of Bethesda Corporate and how each entity relates to the others.
- Working knowledge of personal computers, scanners, digital copiers, printers, projectors, teleconference, and video conference technologies.
- Skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, CRM database, and ability to work with other marketing related software.
- Excellent decision making abilities regarding financial and budget issues, marketing, and people development.
- Ability to multi-task with frequent disruptions during the day.
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to link information to action and results.
- Ability to delegate assignments to appropriate individuals based on skill sets.
- Ability to facilitate group presentations and training.
Education/Experience
- Bachelors level college education or equivalent experience of a minimum of five years in a sales and marketing.
- Management experience, including hiring, coaching, discipline and counseling of staff.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements: Position requires some overnight travel by air and/or automobile (approximately 60%, or 3 days per week) occasionally in extreme weather conditions. Also requires moderate physical activity for handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently; walking and observing in the communities during visits.

Salary : $105,000 - $115,000
