What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Worker position at Bethesda Health Clinic?
SUMMARY
Welcome with overwhelmingly biblical hospitality. The Receiver position is potentially the first interaction a person, customer, or donor has with Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores, therefore, it is imperative that the Receiver has a positive, outgoing personality that is welcoming and exudes the highest level of customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1. Welcome donors in a timely manner in a way that they feel confident that Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores appreciates them and understands their value.
2. Handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including, greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores story, repeating details back to donor and issuing a receipt.
3. Through the highest level of customer service and hospitality, plants a seed for repeated business and donations to Hangers of Hope Thrift Stores with every donor.
4. Maintain clean and well-organized reception area, to include the parking lot where applicable.
5. Adhere to and implement daily, all employee policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Policy and Procedures manual and the Bethesda’s Mission Statement.
6. Communicate, daily, to the Dock Supervisor or Production Manager any necessary information that relates to their respective departments.
7. Work with and effectively communicate with the Dock Supervisor or Production manager and transportation team, other processing members of the Receiving and Processing teams.
8. Daily serve with fellow employees so that there is a healthy and productive work environment.
9. Train dock workers to effectively use the donation receiving script to communicate appreciation, the Bethesda Story, and Beyond The Rack to donors.
