Bethlehem Central School District is currently seeking applications for a 10 month, 3.75 hour per day Food Service Helpers, effective March 3, 2025. Vacancy is available at Slingerlands Elementary School. Schedule is 3.75 hours per day from 10:30am- 2:15pm.
- Responsible for overall kitchen operation and ordering some food
- Meet USDA meal program regulations
- Receiving and inventory tasks
- Works on the tray lines serving designated portions per menus;
- Fills food carts and delivers foods to designated areas;
- Assists in the preparation of salads and desserts;
- Washes dishes, pots and pans by hand or machine;
- Sweeps, mops and cleans kitchen;
- May act as cashier
Job Qualifications
Must be able to stand for entire shift and lift up to 25 pounds; working knowledge of the proper methods of serving food; ability to follow oral and written directions
