Preschool Teacher/Floater

Job Overview
We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Assistant/Floater Teacher to join our faith-based private preschool! The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a love for creating a nurturing, fun, and supportive environment for young learners. You’ll work alongside the lead teacher to help implement engaging lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and cater to the diverse needs of our students, all within a Christian framework.

Responsibilities

• Assist with age-appropriate lesson plans that meet early childhood education standards.
• Help create a safe and inclusive classroom that encourages exploration and learning.
• Communicate with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and support student growth.
• Include physical education activities in the curriculum to promote health and wellness.
• Assist with engaging literacy activities to develop reading and writing skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and improve teaching practices.

Qualifications

• DCF 45 hours completed (preferred)
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of child development and early childhood education practices.
• Strong communication skills to connect with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Experience in early childhood education settings is a plus.
• A passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
• A commitment to integrating faith-based values into the classroom is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
