Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of preschool-aged children.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students by adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that promotes a positive and healthy atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and programs.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
- Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45 Hours training Minimum and meet literacy requirements.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA required.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a teaching or childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development and the needs of preschool-aged children.
- Proven ability to implement engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Experience with classroom management and the ability to create a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- First aid and CPR certification or willing to obtain.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
