We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our team of educators at our small Christian preschool. Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of preschool-aged children, integrating Christian values and teachings.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, social skills, and spiritual growth.
- Lead children in daily prayer, Bible stories, and faith-based activities that promote Christian values.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration, particularly around the spiritual development of each child.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students by adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that promotes a positive, healthy, and spiritually enriching atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and programs that reflect the mission and values of our Christian preschool.
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, integrating faith-based learning where applicable.
Requirements:
- Completed Department of Children and Families (DCF) 45 Hours training Minimum and meet literacy requirements.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in a teaching or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development and the needs of preschool-aged children.
- Proven ability to implement engaging and effective lesson plans with a Christian perspective.
- Experience with classroom management and the ability to create a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, including Christian educational philosophies.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.55 per hour
