Position Summary:
The Center for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (CEED) at Bethune Cookman University’s College of Business and Entrepreneurship is seeking a motivated and organized Part-Time Program Coordinator. This role will focus on overseeing the operations of the Business Center, including booking sessions, scheduling speakers, coordinating with business owners, and maintaining the program’s expenses and budget. The ideal candidate will have a passion for entrepreneurship and economic development, coupled with strong administrative, financial, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Center Management: Oversee daily operations of the Business Center, ensuring that it is a productive and resourceful environment for students, faculty, and entrepreneurs.
- Session Coordination: Book and schedule sessions, workshops, and events for the Business Center, ensuring smooth operations and proper resource allocation.
- Speaker and Business Owner Scheduling: Coordinate with guest speakers, business owners, and industry experts to participate in CEED programs, ensuring alignment with the center’s goals and educational objectives.
- Outreach and Communication: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and the broader community to support program initiatives and opportunities for collaboration.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing events such as seminars, panels, and networking events related to entrepreneurship and economic development.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including managing calendars, preparing reports, and handling correspondence related to CEED programs.
- Marketing and Promotion: Work with the marketing team to promote events and programs through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and university communications.
- Program Budget Management: Maintain and monitor the program’s expenses and budget, ensuring that all financial activities are within approved limits. Prepare financial reports and assist in budget planning.
