POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Specialist is a newly created role within the Bettcher Industries' sales organization and is responsible for driving revenue growth in an assigned territory and/or a list of accounts. The role will proactively engage customers (existing and new) in a variety of manners to uncover new opportunities to create value with Bettcher’s solutions. Additionally, this role will own the sales qualification process for all Marketing-qualified leads and will work with the outside sales team to ensure all leads are properly followed up on. This professional will work from our Birmingham, Ohio headquarters.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and grow existing accounts.
- Maintain a high frequency of engagement with key influencers and decision makers at all major accounts to ensure customer needs are being met.
- Develop and expand relationships with existing accounts to ensure Bettcher is well positioned for new projects.
- Review and analyze data to understand customer’s demand and buying patterns to develop plans to improve/simplify how we transact business together.
- Utilize Bettcher’s sales and growth planning process to target key applications to uncover opportunities to promote Bettcher’s value.
- Problem solve and troubleshoot customer’s application needs.
- Stay informed of key customer goals and objectives to ensure alignment with Bettcher’s value creation initiatives.
- Utilize Bettcher’s CRM (D365) to manage accounts and the sales process, prioritize activities/opportunities, manage leads, track progress and interactions with customers, etc.
- Work closely with Marketing & Sales to assist in the qualification of leads to improve lead quality and conversion rates to opportunities and orders.
- Understand market trends: stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and challenges. Use this knowledge to develop sales strategies and tactics.
- Prospect and acquire new customers: identify and reach out to potential new customers through various channels, such as cold calling, email, and social-media networking.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify improvements to product offerings, sales tools and collateral, marketing strategies and other business-related topics.
- Perform other duties and activities as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in inside sales, with a focus on account management and business development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate using multiple methods of communication, i.e., telephone, email, text, Teams, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Friendly, positive, "can-do" attitude.
