Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
Better Brands Inc. is a food processing facility specializing in a diverse range of frozen, ready-to-eat foods. Founded in 2017, our company has experienced substantial growth each year and is actively expanding our product offerings. Better Brands Inc. is currently seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to fill a full-time position as a QA/Sanitation Tech. This individual will work directly under the Quality Assurance Manager and will provide support in the areas of Quality Assurance and Sanitation.
Qualifications:
· High School or equivalent (Required)
-1-3 years of quality control in a food manufacturing setting (Recommended)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, document, and professionally address any quality problems. Report any issues to the supervisor or QA Manager.
- Calibrates and maintains instrumentation weekly.
- Probes finished product to ensure food safety standards are met.
- Accurately records production and quality control information into the Jolt food safety system.
- Notifies supervisor of any deviations from CCPs immediately.
- Conducts daily, weekly, & monthly inspections at the direction of the QA manager and properly documents findings.
- Responsible for assisting the QA tech in maintaining a proper pest control program.
- Organizes storage warehouse
- Maintains chemical control program
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Able to work in collaboration, foster good teamwork, and promptly share relevant information with others.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing in English.
- Able to identify problems, take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems, and implement solutions.
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of test measurements.
- Basic understanding of computers and Microsoft Office Products.
- Able to keep good records (record-keeping skill)
- Able to follow directions.
- Able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision.
Helpful Experience:
- Experience calibrating instruments.
- Experience with food safety (e.g., HACCP, GMPs, & prerequisite programs).
- Experience with food manufacturing.
- Experience with quality control.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to stand on your feet for an extended period of time.
