DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following and other duties as assigned.
General Duties
- Accurately process complaints to ensure they report accurately in BBB Business Profiles.
- Stay informed about BBB policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to consumers.
- Assist businesses and consumers to understand BBB dispute resolution procedures and policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by remaining calm and professional under pressure.
- Work with businesses and make suggestions on how they might avoid future disputes.
- Offer suggestions for improved efficiencies in all areas of BBB work.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, is required.
- High level of interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive information and documents with confidentiality.
- Established business writing skills to create written communication with business owners and consumers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to remain composed and empathetic in high-stress situations.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a team environment, and to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to develop and maintain credible relationships with private and public agencies, as well as BBB Accredited Businesses
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge.
