BBB Heart of Texas is looking for a responsible individual to join our Austin office as a Graphic Designer to contribute to the organization’s overall success by playing a critical role in the visual communication efforts of BBB Serving the Heart of Texas by designing and delivering innovative, high-quality creative assets that support marketing campaigns, events, and the organization's initiatives.
About the position
Are you looking for an opportunity to work for a reputable company with a positive work environment? Better Business Bureau is looking for a Graphic designer to join the team. This position will be critical in enhancing BBB HOT’s brand identity by producing visually engaging materials for print, digital, and event use while adhering to brand guidelines. Graphic Designer involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate complex ideas into impactful designs, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and creativity across all mediums. The position will stay informed on design trends and technologies to elevate BBB HOT’s visual presence and audience engagement continuously .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with the marketing team to conceptualize and develop innovative design solutions for campaigns, events, and ongoing BBB initiatives.Create visually impactful assets for both print (e.g., flyers, brochures, posters) and digital platforms (e.g., social media graphics, website banners, email templates), as well as event-related materials.Uphold and consistently apply BBB’s brand guidelines while introducing fresh and modern design approaches to maintain a strong visual identity.Design engaging graphics for social media platforms, online advertisements, and email marketing to strengthen BBB’s digital presence.Develop infographics and data visualizations to present complex information in an accessible and visually appealing manner.Collaborate with internal departments to meet diverse design needs, including the production of annual reports, newsletters, and promotional materialsAdditional Duties :
Apply advanced photo manipulation techniques to enhance imagery and produce visually compelling content.Thoroughly review and quality-check designs before final delivery to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project objectives.Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative assets that meet deadlines and exceed expectations.Stay informed about emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to enhance BBB’s visual communications and foster innovation consistentlyUtilize project management software to track and update projects to ensure the team meets deadlines for deliverables.Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Required Skills / Abilities
Proficiency in layout design, visual design, and print advertising.Understanding typography, color theory, layout, and branding principles.Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills to understand project needs and provide creative solutions.Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics and typography.Familiar with HTML / CSS, motion graphics, and video editing. Ability to effectively market ideas through compelling visual communication.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.Two years of relevant experience.Knowledge of marketing, advertising, and brand managementExperience as a graphic designer, with a portfolio that demonstrates a variety of design projects (including both digital and print materials).Experience in Adobe Creative Suite : Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CanvaExperience in After EffectsExperience in web design and user interface (UI) design is a plus.Perks
