The Junior Staff Accountant role is an in-office position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine Office. This full-time, exempt role offers a pay range of $69,000.00-$72,000.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this position is not open to candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
As a Junior Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly. From preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts to supporting monthly closings and financial statement prep, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What You’ll Do:
The Junior Staff Accountant must be able to perform the following tasks:
- Support financial reporting by collecting, analyzing, and verifying data to help drive informed business decisions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense management to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Support the creation of cash flow projections, KPI reports, treasury reports, and executive-level financial summaries.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for treasury, revenue, payables, receivables, payroll, and other key accounts.
- Maintain subsidiary ledgers and financial records with precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with operations to calculate monthly commissions and support financial analysis.
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and provide general support to the accounting team.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
The Junior Staff Accountant must have the following experiences:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 0-2 years of experience in a similar role. Big 4 or Mid-Tier firm experience? That’s a plus!
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in Excel (formulas, spreadsheets—you name it).
- Mindset & Approach: Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable. You’re proactive, a problem solver, and a team player.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively across teams.
- Bonus Points: CPA or MBA in Accounting/Finance aspirations are highly encouraged.
