What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Better Earth?
As a fast-moving and high-performing solar energy company, Better Earth relies on the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouses. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring warehouse organization and cleanliness, assisting the Warehouse Manager with inventory management, job pulling, and gear & equipment management. Our equipment is our #1 cost driver so this is a critical role and the Warehouse Associate is the last line of defense on every project before the rubber literally hits the road and the project goes out for installation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, does well in a high-paced environment, is a self-starter, likes organization and is capable of the physical aspects of the job. Basic computer literacy is a must and forklift skills are a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Help to ensure the warehouse follows all operational best practices and safety requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with pulling materials for each job on a daily basis.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with checking-out and checking-in specialty equipment and tools as they are needed by install crews and technicians.
- Assist our install crews and technicians with their evening returns process. Receive and check-in returned materials; Receive and check-in any specialty tools or equipment
- Assist with the physical inbound and outbound management of RMA equipment.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- 1 year of Warehouse experience is a plus
- Basic forklift skills are a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and do other physically demanding work
- Must be detail oriented in a fast paced environment
- Must like organization and cleanliness
- Must work well with others
- Knowledge of electrical equipment is a plus, knowledge of solar equipment is a huge plus
Warehouse Specialist KPI’s
- Job pulling accuracy and sign off of materials
- All crews must sign and return pull sheet
- LPV feedback on misses and root cause
- Tool and Safety Check-In Compliance
- 100% compliance to tool and safety check-out program
- Cleanliness and organization of Warehouse
- Fulfillment of Truck Stock requests
Additional Details
- Expected hours worked are 40 hours per week. 10 am to 7 pm w/ 1 hour lunch.
- Any overtime must be approved by Direct Manager
Salary : $16 - $18
