Job Overview
As an ABA Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be implementing individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. You will work closely with patients to assess their needs, track progress, and adjust strategies to ensure optimal outcomes. Team work is required, as you will be working with a Behavior Analyst, as well as your patient's family.

We are seeking to hire a experienced behavior therapist or RBT who is available to work during the day (T/Thrs/Fri and either a Saturday or Sunday for 4 hours OR M/T/Thrs/F and potentially 4 hours one weekend day twice a month or more).

Duties

  • Enagge in play with child (We love play-based therapy and naturalistic environmental teaching opportunities)
  • Implement ABA strategies and interventions to promote positive behavioral changes.
  • Collect accurate data utilizing: frequency, rate duration, etc.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and work directly with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support the client’s development and well-being.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary.
  • Provide training and support to families on behavioral techniques and strategies.
  • Stay informed about current best practices in behavioral health and autism treatment.

Requirements

  • Must be a kind and patient person who enjoys being with children to help them learn and grow
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities is highly desirable
  • Ability to work directly with a team, including a supervisor
  • Ability to time manage
  • Desire to make a change in a child and their families lives
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to wanting to grow as a behavioral therapist/technician
  • Transportation
  • Attending occassional trainings and staff meeting
  • Maintain confidentiality patient confidentially
  • Available to work day time hours and potential weekend (4 hours one weekend day per week)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field (Preferred, not required)
  • Master's Degree or currently pursuing Master’s Degree in ABA, Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Minimum of 1 year working directly with young children (ages 8-12years) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Background knowledge and experience in child development and developmental delays
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, problem solving-skills, team work skills, and communication skills
  • Passion to implement high quality, effective intervention with children with ASD and other developmental delays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
