The Senior Director, Content and Communications reports to : Chief Growth Officer
The Opportunity :
The Senior Director, Content and Communications will lead the development, management, and execution of brand, content, messaging, and communications to advance the Better Health Group (BHG) mission, grow the company, and improve performance. As a leader driving content and communications across B2B (owned and independent clinics, direct to providers) and DTC (direct to patients), this role is key in building BHG’s identity and reputation, demand for products and services, and engagement among BHG’s network of owned and independent clinics, providers, team members and patients.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to :
Develops and oversees the BHG brand content, communication strategyEstablishes and maintains a consistent identity and voice across all channelsOversees and individually contributes to the creation, curation, and distribution of content for internal and external audiences (e.g. presentations, digital content, email, video, press releases, newsletters, social media, print, sales / marketing materials)Further integrates and leverages technologies to improve : workflow automation, digital asset management, capacity planning, and the efficiency of accessing approved contentEstablishes an approach to product marketing, collaborating with product owners (e.g. clinical, technology, financial, payor) to translate the various programs and services offered to BHG’s clinics and patients, into compelling content and effective marcomm plansSupports the development of training programs to ensure Team Members are capable of articulating BHG’s desired messaging as an integral part of their roles (e.g. B2B Sales Enablement; B2B Account Management; DTC Patient Engagement)Manages a targeted public relations strategy to protect and further BHG’s reputation through media outreach, social listening, partnerships, and community engagementUtilizes analytics to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns and optimize content strategies based on insights and feedbackLeads a small team of content creators, graphic designers, marketers, and communications professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and aligning efforts with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Operations, and Clinical LeadershipPosition Requirements / Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; Master’s preferred.12 years of experience in content creation, corporate communications, or public relations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the healthcare sector.Experience in Medicare with a preference for those with value-based care, primary care, and health plan or Medicare Advantage or Part D industries.Proven experience developing and executing both B2B and DTC content, campaign, and communication strategies, as well as tactical plansHistory implementing improved, automated content development workflows, digital asset management (DAM) systems, and strong project management (e.g. Monday.com).Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and situations.Knowledge of healthcare regulations and Medicare Advantage programs, with a commitment to compliance and patient-centered communication.Highly proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Comfortable communicating with multiple levels within an organizationExcellent organizational, time-management, and project-management skillsResults-oriented with a focus on quality execution and deliveryStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, manage a small team, and work cross-functionallyAbility to work in a shifting and fast-paced environmentPhysical Requirements :
Physical ability to sit, stand, and move freely about the officeMust be able to remain in a stationary position up to or exceeding 50%Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer20%-30% travel as needed, to local markets or to visit clinicsKey Attributes / Skills :
