Job description
Better Home Care is a provider of a variety of services from visits to shifts for technology dependent, medically unstable, or vulnerable individuals in their place of residence, enabling them to live as independently as possible. BHC is a Medicare/Medicaid certified and Joint Commission accredited agency. We provide comprehensive home care services in Greater Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery counties.
The Director of Nursing provides leadership in the development of nursing procedures and patient care policies to assist the clinical team in their professional needs.
Director of Nursing's Responsibilities:
- Ensures that all licensed and/or client care is physician directed as required by current standards of practice: federal, state or local regulation.
- Directs all home care services of clients, reviewing client care plans and appropriate level(s) of service, supervising the implementation, coordination, maintenance, evaluation, and termination of care plans and service(s).
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse in good, standing, holding a current license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Must hold at least a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing with two years of supervising professional experience in home health. (preferred)
- Knowledge of federal, PA regulations, and JCAHO accreditation requirements.
Requirements:
- Ability to implement the nursing process in all settings.
- Leadership and supervisory expertise in Home Health
- Ability to work effectively in a bilingual team environment.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
