Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each client.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide long-term care support, ensuring comfort and companionship for residents.
- Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Uphold resident rights by promoting independence and dignity in all interactions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of care plans, meal preparation, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration is beneficial.
- Certification in CPR is a plus.
- Understanding of resident rights and commitment to advocating for clients’ needs.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed with physical mobility.
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and patience are essential for this role.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required.
