Responsibilities
- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, providing companionship and support.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide memory care for clients experiencing cognitive challenges, ensuring a safe environment.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and needs.
- Document care provided and any changes in the client’s condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in patient monitoring and patient care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility or personal care tasks.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques is a plus for working with clients with cognitive impairments.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor toward clients.
- Must be able to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to the individual needs of each client.
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on the location of client services.
