Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
- Assist with memory care and long-term care needs for clients with cognitive impairments.
- Support clients with catheter care and other personal hygiene tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring adherence to home community care standards.
- Document all care provided accurately in the designated systems.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Experience in home care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and ability to follow healthcare plans.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
