Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various medical settings, including clinic and hospital medicine, with experience in environments such as Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, teaching hospitals, and emergency medicine. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients while assisting them with daily activities and personal care.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety.
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred, particularly in inpatient care or emergency medicine.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently while following established protocols.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable.
- Must pass background checks as required by state regulations.
