Responsibilities
- Provide daily personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and safety of clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or autism.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the home setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Experience in home community care or home health settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices and strategies for working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
- Proficiency in medication administration protocols.
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and compassion.
- Ability to assist clients effectively while promoting their dignity and independence.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
