Duties
- Monitor patients’ health and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support residents with daily living activities while promoting independence.
- Assist individuals with mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Engage residents in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with respect and dignity.
- Collaborate with families, social workers, and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans.
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care or direct support roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy practices is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to lift patients safely and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties.
