Job Overview

Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety while moving clients.
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support clients in engaging in social activities and maintaining independence.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as clinics, medical-surgical units, or teaching hospitals.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Experience or knowledge in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or working within a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals facing physical or emotional challenges.
- Proficient in basic medical care practices and understanding of patient needs in an inpatient setting.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality care.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new environments within various healthcare settings.
