Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations to ensure health stability.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Administer first aid and CPR as necessary in emergency situations.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
- Strong observational skills to monitor changes in client health status.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A compassionate attitude towards caregiving and a commitment to enhancing client quality of life.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
