Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and nutritional guidance.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to family members or healthcare professionals.
Skills
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is beneficial.
- Experience in a teaching hospital or familiarity with hospital settings is a plus.
- Understanding of inpatient care procedures, particularly in medical-surgical environments.
- Familiarity with outpatient services and Level I or Level II Trauma Centers can enhance caregiving effectiveness.
- Experience working in Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate demeanor with the ability to provide emotional support to clients in need.
