Position Summary:
Better Life Adult Living is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and reliable Community Support Specialist (CCSI) / Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on assistance to individuals in a supportive living environment. This role focuses on helping residents with daily living tasks, community outings, personal hygiene, and skill-building activities to promote independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:Resident Care & Support
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including:
- Personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting) as needed.
- Meal preparation and feeding assistance when necessary.
- Medication administration and documentation per established protocols.
- Encourage and support independent living skills and decision-making.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents' well-being.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and structured home environment.
Community Engagement & Transportation
- Take residents into the community weekly for social, recreational, and employment-related activities.
- Provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and community events.
- Encourage participation in local programs, hobbies, and social outings.
- Ensure safety during transit and community activities.
Household & Administrative Support
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of residents’ daily activities, progress, and any incidents.
- Implement and follow Individual Service Plans (ISP) and behavior support strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Better Life Adult Living policies and DD Waiver regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:

- Basic computer and documentation skills.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (Required).
- Reliable personal transportation and valid auto insurance (Required).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Required).
- Ability to transport residents in your own insured vehicle for community outings.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
