Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, offering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and seamless patient experience. This role involves assisting patients throughout their care journey, from initial inquiries to post-treatment follow-ups, and playing a key role in helping them achieve their health goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients by answering inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits, ensuring optimal use of the clinic’s resources.
- Provide patients with information about services that the practice offers
- Assist with patient intake forms, medical history documentation, and other necessary administrative tasks.
- Maintain necessary stock in exam rooms, clean/turn over procedure rooms, set up for treatments prior to patient arrival.
- Ensure that patients are fully informed about procedures, treatments, and expectations.
- Address patient concerns, ensuring that their experience is comfortable, professional, and informative.
- Manage patient files, ensuring that all records are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with medical providers and staff to facilitate care and follow-up communication.
- Assist in processing patient payments
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in healthcare administration, medical office management, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, especially in a patient-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients and provide clear information.
- Detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathetic and professional demeanor, with a passion for helping others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with patient management software (e.g., EHR systems) is a plus.
