Job Overview
The Life Enrichment Manager plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents at our assisted living communities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing engaging programs and activities that promote social interaction, personal growth, and overall well-being among residents, particularly those with memory care needs or disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for working with seniors and individuals with varying abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute a variety of enriching programs and activities tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure that all activities are inclusive and accessible for residents with different abilities.
- Conduct assessments to identify residents' interests, preferences, and needs related to social engagement and enrichment.
- Provide counseling on aging issues to residents and their families, offering support and resources as needed.
- Foster a warm, welcoming environment that encourages participation in events and activities.
- Coordinate special events, and celebrations that enhance community involvement.
- Maintain documentation of resident participation in programs and evaluate the effectiveness of activities regularly.
- Work closely with social workers, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure holistic care for residents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Strong background in social work or counseling related to aging issues is highly desirable.
- Experience in event planning or organizing community activities is an asset.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and strategies for engaging individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
- Compassionate approach to assisting individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
