Company Description
Better Morning emerged as an outpatient behavioral health practice in Ashburn, VA in the year of 2014.
In addition to providing counseling from the Ashburn office, Better Morning started off as a certified provider for intensive in home and community-based services (IHCBS), for at risk youth in District of Columbia.
In August of 2017, Better Morning was certified as a Core service agency (CSA) by DC Department of Behavioral Health. Better morning founder’s passion for at risk youth and their family were the motivation to keep expanding the evidenced based programs to meet the need of the underserved population.
Job Description
This position requires candidate to have license in counseling, social work. IF YOU ARE NOT LICENSE ELIGIBLE, PLEASE DON'T APPLY. Compensation varies based on your credential and licensure status.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments as scheduled,
- Develop treatment plans, complete GAIN, DLA-20/CAFAS.
- Complete initial treatment plan same day as Assessment is initiated
- Complete the assessment document within seven days of initiation of the service
- Exercise sound judgment in proposing changes to client treatment plans.
- Coordinate closely with other staff to ensure the appropriateness of treatment modalities if needed.
- Attend the supervision as required.
- Complete the other clinical administration job as required.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Masters in Mental Health, Social Work or related fields and holds a license in DC.
- Experience in Community Mental Health is preferred
- Expert level of written and verbal communication skill is required and must have strong documentation skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with consumers, families, staff, community and general pub
