Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT and Saturdays as needed)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Technician to join our Quality Team. This team is dedicated to ensuring that all incoming materials meet specifications and that finished products adhere to both customer expectations and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming products to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
- Monitor and contain inventory across the plant when quality issues arise.
- Analyze defects, document non-conforming items, and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of product quality and report findings.
- Work collaboratively with team members to identify and solve quality-related issues.
- Respond to production line calls regarding quality concerns.
- Ensure timely follow-up on quality issues through the appropriate channels.
- Adhere to 6S practices daily.
Requirements
- Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities for complex problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) – ability to create or learn to create pivot tables, charts, and data tables.
- Familiarity with Syteline (or willingness to learn).
- Detail-oriented with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience handling red tags and checking in incoming parts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to reach, lift, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
- Frequent use of a computer for office work.
- Alternating between sitting and standing throughout the shift.
Work Environment
- Combination of production, warehouse, and office settings.
- Frequent interaction with employees and vendors.
