Summary:
Uphold Better Together Animal Alliance values and mission. Assure high quality and professional customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Greeting guests when they walk through the door, and on the sales floor telling them about the sale of the day.
- Outstanding guest service skills
- Building rapport through conversations and honest recommendations.
- Familiarity with the cash register and ability to learn new technologies
- Ringing up sales and arranging for pick-up of customer furniture on the sales floor.
- Informing guests of the rewards program and asking each guest if they want to round up to support our mission. Ability to up sell
- Inviting guests to search the company’s website for sales, and the company mission.
- Assisting in maintaining the stockroom is kept clean and organized.
- Collaborating with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times.
- Excellent communication skills

- Work hard in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain appropriate security of cash and donated goods.

Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a retail environment
- Minimum 1 year experience in high standard customer service environment required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrates compassion, integrity, respect and stewardship toward people and animals are required.
- Proficient with a cash register/ computer knowledge/experience preferred.
- Valid drive

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk and sit and stand; is regularly required to use both hands to make coordinated movements to grasp or type; is regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Proper lifting technique is required.
Work Environment:
This is a fast moving and physically strenuous position. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee may be exposed to animal feces and animals with a potential for zoonotic exposure.
