Responsibilities
The dental assistant is expected to perform routine procedures including, but are not limited to, the following:
- Takes radiographs as instructed by the doctor.
- Coronal Polishing.
- Prepares all treatment rooms including, but not limited to, set-up, decontamination, sterilization of all instruments, cleaning and restocking.
- Suction and retraction.
- Intra-oral instrument transfer.
- Preliminary charting of missing teeth.
- Scanning of patient's teeth/mouth.
- Demonstration of oral hygiene procedures, including, but not limited to, use of toothbrushes and dental floss.
- Shade selection for fabrication of appliances or restorations.
- Fluoride application.
- fabrication, cementation, and removal of temporary restorations.
- Taking photographs.
- Recording patient treatment.
- Willingness to learn about 3D printing and digital dentistry.
Qualifications
- Valid X-ray certificate.
- The dental assistant has at least one year of experience in the practice of dental assisting.
- Coronal polishing certificate.
Business Hours
- Monday: 9:30 - 5:30
- Tuesday: 9:30 - 5:30
- Wednesday: 9:30 - 5:30
- Thursday: 9:30 - 5:30
- Friday: as needed for trainings
