Job Description

Mold Engineer / Mold Expert, Auburn, Alabama

Responsibilities :

Ensure all Molds are functioning as intended.
Repair and upgrade all Molds as required according to company standards.
Work according to Mold PM Schedule
Work according to Mold Standardization Plan
Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure minimal scrap and cycle time improvements
Communicate issues found and root causes back to Maintenance Manager
Follow daily work plan issued by Maintenance Manager
Plan and complete assigned special projects
100% manufacturing support
Any other activities / job duties as directed

Skills and Abilities :

Knowledge of WHMIS and SDS

Machining skills – Milling, turning, grinding, Sinking EDM and CNC machining are advantage (may have only some of these skills)

Mold Making Skills : Assembly and disassembly, spotting, polishing, good handling hand tools.

Ability to read schemes

Ability to read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Internet Explorer

Ability to problem solve and be proactive

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
