Calculates employee time sheets and prepares regular payroll entry/submission. Performs journal entries as needed.

Essential Functions
- Perform day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, accurate, up-to-date manner.
- Receive and verify invoices and records for goods and services
- Verify transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Compute charges, refunds, insurance costs, and handle other similar tasks
- Data entry invoices for payment; type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records
- Prepare and record vendor checks for mailing
- Perform various accounting journal entries, including chapter adjusting entries
- Track completion/accuracy of financial reporting required by chapters
- Assist with audit responsibilities
- Administer benefits programs, including changes to employee status with the insurance broker
- Liaison with the insurance broker regarding employee questions/issues with the benefits program
- Balance/reconcile the Company’s checkbook
- Advise management of cash trends and spending activity
- Complete payroll functions to ensure staff are paid in an accurate timely fashion
- Establish and maintain confidential staff payroll and benefit files
- Process time report forms, collecting, verifying coding and approval signatures
- Calculate salaries and benefits
- Verify pay amounts, hours of work, deductions, etc.
- Data entry time/pay reports

Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4-5 years related experience in accounting/finance—bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable—activities.
- Computer literacy with experience in computerized accounting applications and spreadsheet software and/or ADP experience preferred.
