Summary:
BetterLifes Director of Recruitment & Sales Training oversees and leads BetterLifes agent recruitment efforts and training. The role involves developing and implementing effective hiring strategies, managing recruitment, and ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent. This position is a player-coach role that leads the strategy, vision, and direction necessary to ensure effective, timely, and complete development and execution of all agent training programs and needs for our sales teams and distribution partners. This role will involve partnering with the sales team to identify and map best practice processes and approaches and managing execution at the highest level to grow the sales organization effectively and ensure financial strength and sales team efficiency.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment 60%

Establish a success-driven, company-wide agent recruiting process that will attract top talent to BetterLife.

Manage job postings for new job openings both internally and with public advertising on job boards and social media.

Manage the end-to-end agent recruitment process, ensuring the highest level of candidate experience and client satisfaction.

Utilize data and analytics to measure recruitment success and drive continuous improvement.

Works closely with the Chief Distribution Officer and the Sales Team to identify sales training and development needs.

Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders.

Collaborates with the sales and marketing teams to develop sales messaging that aligns with our brand, our value proposition, and market opportunities.

Oversees the creation of concept materials that explain technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms across a wide range of life insurance products.
Training 30%

Regularly reviews and tracks sales metrics in relation to sales goals.

Monitors agent performance, identify areas for improvement and provides direct coaching and support.

Leads the development and delivery of training programs for the sales, sales leadership, and account and relationship management teams.

Responsible for visualizing, creating, and implementing effective training programs across product lines and distribution channels.

Leads the efforts to build comprehensive training plans and programs that support the professional development and effectiveness of the divisions sales, sales leadership, and account and relationship management teams.

Conducts recruitment and training needs assessments and creates plans to address identified gaps.

Creates, delivers, and maintains a core curriculum for onboarding new agents and supporting general training needs.

Designs and delivers specific training programs to aid in professional development and improved effectiveness of sales, sales leadership, and account and relationship management team members.

Development of training programs for distribution partners, delivered by distribution team members.

Identifies potential strategic partnerships with internal resources, outside consultants, and vendors to expand the training resources available to sales teams. Negotiates and manages vendor terms and relationships.

Utilizes various technologies and approaches to program delivery (classroom, one-on-one, distance learning, e-learning, etc.).

Develops and maintains a library of on-demand training resources and sales aids.

Manages and maintains regulatory training programs.

Oversees the development, deployment, and tracking of continuing education courses.

Analyzes training effectiveness through formal testing and evaluation methods as well as correlated agent performance, reports results, and ROIs.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related discipline. Additional certificates, training or degrees in education, instructional design or adult learning a plus.

5-8 years recruitment, training, and development experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a hybrid position with both onsite and remote work opportunities and can be performed remotely for the right candidate.
This position is performed in an office environment (could be done remotely) and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Individuals must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
