The Credentialing & Licensing Specialist is responsible for the coordination of functions related to the credentialing/privileging, re-credentialing/re-privileging, licenses and renewal of licenses for Sleep Data Services LLC, its client entities, and its professionals. Our expectation of this position is to provide a first-class service experience, with every interaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Receive/process all initial credentialing/re-credentialing/licensing requests
- Complete enrollment applications (Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, State Licensure, etc)
- Communicate with physicians and clients to obtain credentialing documents
- Ensure all partitioner credentials are current and legible
- Manages the collection of data related to provider credentialing/re-credentialing and contracting
- Maintains up-to-date provider files in the credentialing software Modio
- Maintains accurate/complete records on application status to be presented to management
- Knowledge of CAQH, PECOS, NPDB, Joint Commission, etc.
- Maintains a strict level of confidentiality
- Follow up with payers for application status
- Follow up with Licensing Boards for application status
- Knowledge of basic Excel, Word, medical terminology, insurance terminology, and excellent customer service/interpersonal communication skills
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College degree in related field, or equivalent work experience plus 3 years credentialing/licensing experience in the healthcare/medical field. Proficient in using MS Office, and general computer skills.
