BetterPet Veterinary Urgent Care is looking for a full-time or part-time veterinarian! Part-time position is an excellent opportunity for extra guaranteed shifts per month to keep your skills sharp in emergency and urgent care with excellent support. Full-time position is a great way to practice high-quality medicine with no overnights and limited holidays (closed Christmas and Thanksgiving).
BetterPet is the only locally-owned urgent care in the Richmond area. We value our team, excellent medicine, and providing for our community. We have a great workspace with all of the conveniences, including digital radiology, in-house labs, ultrasound, a fully stocked surgical suite, an electrocautery unit and more! We staff our shifts well with 3 highly trained assistants, tech, and CSR to ensure our patients get the best care during their visit. Our staff is trained to ensure an efficient visit allowing DVM to focus on practicing medicine. We see a wide variety of cases from skin infections to vomiting to more complex such as patients that require surgical intervention or transfer to a 24-hour hospital. Surgery is not required but preferred.
Compensation is generous pro-sal with no negative accrual and minimal exclusions. To apply, veterinarian must have an active VA license in good standing, DEA license, and PLIT insurance. Coverage of license fees and insurance for full-time and partial coverage for PT.
