Role Summary
Account Managers will own transactional deals, and strategic renewals while partnering with a Strategic Account Manager to develop additional opportunities within existing accounts. Account Managers will develop relationships with senior executives along with other stakeholders and influencers at BetterUp’s customers. At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The base salary range for this role is $94,000.00 – $163,000.00.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Strategic AM’s to prospect and generate upsell and cross-sell opportunities through relationship building and value realization within BetterUp's existing customer base
- Negotiate and manage renewals, both centralized and decentralized, with a focus on maximizing customer spend and contract term length
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and product updates to guide engagement strategies and identify new business opportunities
- Effectively leverage cross-functional resources, including partners, to identify, develop, and win expansion opportunities
- Engage with C-level contacts to position BetterUp's strategic value proposition during the renewal cycle
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, customer interactions, and contract details in Salesforce
- Provide accurate forecasts and monthly reports to the sales manager to communicate the health of the sales pipeline, significant market trends, and any potential risks that may impact the ability to hit targets
- 5 years of enterprise tech, professional services sales, or renewals experience
- Experience selling to and influencing C-level and C-1, executives at Global 1000 companies on six-to-eight-figure opportunities; specific preference given to those with CHRO & Talent-focused experience
- Ideal candidate would have experience selling into a new market or new technology disrupting an existing marketplace.
- Experience in influencing a buying cycle and maturing customer relationships
- Ability to identify customer pains and develop compelling value propositions that focus on delivering customer value
- Outstanding leadership and strong ability to work with and manage people across functions and geographies
- Experience working in a team based account structure, where collaboration and extreme ownership are key behaviors.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- We have HUB offices, and this is a hybrid role that requires in-office presence. Please apply only if you can realistically commute to one our six HUB locations at least two days a week.
