The Customer Success team is seeking a Renewals Partner to manage contract renewals, ensure customer retention, and optimize revenue opportunities through effective project management and communication. Reporting to the RVP of Customer Success and Renewals, this role requires strong organizational skills and collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Account Managers, Legal, Finance, and Product. to maintain strong customer relationships and streamline the renewal process. What You’ll Do
- Manage the end-to-end renewal process for existing customers by engaging with customers to ensure a seamless renewal experience and addressing any concerns
- Collaborate internally with sales, customer success, legal and finance teams to optimize renewal strategies
- Engage with customers to position BetterUp's strategic value proposition during the renewal cycle; proactively communicate with them about upcoming renewals, pricing adjustments, and contract terms
- Create proposals and contracts for existing customer renewals
- Negotiate and manage renewals, including maximizing client spend, uplift, and contract length
- Provide accurate forecasts to sales manager to communicate health of the renewals pipeline, significant trends, and any potential risks that may impact churn
- Maintain accurate records of renewals, customer interactions, and contract details in Salesforce
- Assist in the development and implementation of renewal policies and best practices, and iterate and provide customer feedback on the renewal experience
- 4 years of experience in B2B SaaS, technology, or professional service-based industries, with a background in renewals, sales, or account management.
- Familiarity with contract management and legal terms related to renewals, preferred.
- High cognitive agility with a growth mindset and a bias toward action; always pushing pace and team progress through data-informed decisions, with an ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of accounts.
- Comfortable with negotiation and discussions with procurement departments.
- High confidence in managing customer quoting, contracts, and terms.
- Strong customer-facing acumen and communication skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, to maintain strong customer relationships and streamline the renewal process.
- Commitment to high-quality work and craftsmanship, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Perseverance and grit, maintaining a positive attitude during challenging times, and leveraging data to navigate uncertainty.
- Strong internal compass and sense of duty, self-motivated and goal oriented, with the courage to take ownership of outcomes.
