GENERAL SUMMARY
A Blackjack dealer is the person responsible in looking after operations in a blackjack table. This position will stand or sit behind the table and dispense cards, collect winnings and identifying the winner of each deal.
SUPERVISION
Under limited direction and supervision Gaming Manager, Beulah CVB Board of Directors and Board Chair.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties include:
Blackjack dealer to perform a variety of task to maintain smooth operations on the table. These tasks include counting of chips, managing money, applying the process of house rules to maintain a degree of integrity during a game.
Dealer also must exchange paper currency to chips and should be able to calculate winnings as well as losing bets real time.
To look presentable, a dealer is responsible in maintaining the cards and chip tray in an orderly fashion to attract more players.
Integrity is a sensitive issue. The dealer will report any irregularities found in the premises and should be able to provide accurate relay of information. Be prepared in performing other duties assigned by their supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Blackjack dealer should be collected during a deal because everything happens real time and the duty calls for a dealer to multitask on the table. The blackjack dealer should always be on top of things.
Must be able to Count Cards, Chips and Money in a fast-paced environment.
Mathematical and Computation Skills
EDUCATIONAL/ OTHER REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Test
Must be 21 years of Age
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
There may be times that a blackjack dealer will have to wait for people to flock the table.
Workdays and Hours will vary – Nights and Weekends
COMPENSATION
$18.00 Per Hour plus Tips (Tips not guaranteed)
