Job Description
General Responsibility
The Site Installation Manager is responsible for all installation activities off/on-site for BEUMER system projects. This includes coordinating site supervisors and workers engaged in the installation or modification of supplied equipment, ensuring high-quality work and safety standards to meet project goals. The role requires direct customer contact and may involve leading a site independently or as part of a team.This position will report to the BEUMER Group within Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
Leadership and Teamwork:
- Follow and live BEUMER leadership principles; ensure BEUMER processes are followed.
- Promote safe and reliable construction and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Mentor and train Site Installation Supervisors and subcontractors in logistics system installations.
- Serve as the main technical advisor for supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring coordination and timely work completion.
- Maintain regular relationships with all subsidiaries and departments.
- Prepare site installation project plans with the Project Manager, assigning tasks and coordinating workflow to meet schedules.
- Supervise multiple parallel projects, including remote support as needed.
- Participate in kick-off and job close-out meetings, ensuring SIS involvement.
- Manage job boxes with tools and hardware for shipment to/from job sites.
- Initiate site installation process improvements with the Site Integration Manager.
- Coordinate activities with internal partners, customers, and subcontractors, updating the project manager as needed.
- Assist in the selection of installation subcontractors and preparation of RFQs.
- Support the team leader or department manager, and act in their absence when necessary.
Technical and Quality:
- Prepare site management plans, installation strategies, and equipment logistics.
- Provide feedback on installation costs and participate in Project Gate Meetings, particularly the "Ready for Installation" and "Installation Complete" meetings.
- Review contractual requirements and communicate findings to relevant project parties.
- Contribute to project time schedules, risk registers, resource plans, and budgets with input from supervisors and subcontractors.
- Manage resource availability and site goods receipt/storage.
- Create method statements and ensure implementation by the installation team.
- Ensure safety and quality assurance on-site and facilitate meetings with the customer, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in work permit preparation and review progress reports from subcontractors.
- Ensure completion and signing of all Level 6 checklists without defects.
- Facilitate structured handover to Commissioning.
Qualifications

Requirements / Skills / Abilities
- 10 years of electro/mechanical experience in controls, wiring, and systems.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to interpret mechanical and site installation drawings.
- Maintain certifications for forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift.
- Advanced welding skills and complex equipment layout expertise.
- Knowledge of structural steel supports and heavy lifting/rigging.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to maintain initiative, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain required security clearances.
- Willingness to travel 80-90% domestically and internationally.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Certifications / Licenses
- OSHA 30 Trainer Qualifications
- First Aid Trainer Qualification
- Equipment Trainer Qualification
- Valid passport in the event international travel is required.
- Valid Driver's License
- (Must be able to meet insurance underwriting requirements)
