Quality Inspector/Keyence Operator
Job Description

Reports To: Quality Manager
Location: Ponca City, OK
Amount of Travel Required: N/A
Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday (5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Keyence Operator position is a highly motivated and skilled Quality Control and CMM Technician that ensures the components and assemblies produced in the weld/machine shop meet all design and engineering specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Operate portable CMM measuring machine.
- Perform first article inspections.
- Inspect production parts.
- Prepare written reports.
- Keep written records for the calibration tracking of shop tools.
- Work with outside calibration vendors when required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully passes background check, preemployment drug screening, an any preemployment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- In person, predictable attendance
- Must have the ability to read tape measurements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent certificate
- Some exposure to MIG Welding
- Experience in a manufacturing environment not required, but highly desirable
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent speaking, writing and listening skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- The ability to read shop drawings.
- High level of manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Computer skills.
- Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity.
- Capable of working in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Organization and 6S skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. The Keyence Operator must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50-100 lbs. with a team lift.
Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
